Beautiful Churches

I’ve been writing a lot about the beautiful churches we saw in California, with some pictures in my Small Success Thursday and Quick Takes Friday posts, but I wanted to share one particular church today: Saint Joseph’s Basilica Cathedral in San Jose.

My daughters and I had gone to The Tech, and after we had seen everything there we wanted to see, I asked them to walk a couple of blocks to see the Cathedral.

It did not disappoint.

With the exception of the altar being moved to the middle of the church (the old high altar was behind the reredos in the Adoration Chapel), the church was a stunning example of Romanesque architecture.
